Nazis and Fascists and Spineless, Oh My!
If I hear conservatives called Nazis & fascists again I think I’ll literally scream to straighten them out. If it’s a witch-hunt they want, it is the current liberals in power and their henchmen who are using the brown-shirt, fascist tactics described in the previous 2 posts, including the “Gangster Government” tactics used in the Chrysler bailout.
“Nazi” is an abbreviation for the German “National Sozialisten” – national socialists. It is the Obama administration that is implementing national socialism. Hitler came to power with the people thirsting for promises of change, mesmerizing articulate speeches, and enthralled with his image & personality. Sound like anyone you know today? Hitler found scapegoats aplenty, too – just like Obama’s greedy capitalist profiteers, the previous administration, or evil conservative spokesmen/women who dare oppose. Liberal/leftist Obama supporters and their flunkies largely control the media propaganda machine nearly as completely and effectively as Goebbels, and seek even more media control to more thoroughly control public opinion. They seek a much more secular society, as the Nazis did, and when morals go out the door, we all know what happened under the Nazis (& communists – the left far outdid Hitler in mass murder).
Obama seeks to cajole and appease Iran’s Ahmedinejad, giving him all the time he needs to develop the nuclear weapons that he can use to carry out his threat to wipe Israel off the map – a second holocaust that Obama would by inaction be complicit in. Yes, one could argue (more justifiably than for Bush), a war criminal -- just like the Nazi guards and civilians who stood by and did nothing to prevent the gassing, live burials, incinerations, shootings, etc. It wasn’t those who risked or sacrificed their lives to preserve others’ lives, freedom & democracy who were to blame, and morally reprobate because they used the only remaining effective tool against the genocidal tyrants – force, at risk of sacrificing their own life. It was those who naively, self-righteously, cowardly and politically correctly called for appeasement and pacifism – “peace at any price.” Or buried their heads in the sand and hoped that by ignoring the problem, it would go away. They abhorred guns more than evils, or even failed to acknowledge evil due to their egalitarian moral equivalence or relativism. And if those ideals prevail, the “last best hope for democracy/mankind” will stand idly by and be complicit as once again the evils of national socialism (Nazism) and (Islamo-)fascism run rampant. They were partners in the past, and may be at least passive partners once again. Will we never learn?
Remind me again, just who are the modern equivalent of Nazis? But that is an all-too-typical tactic of the left – distraction, and putting the opposition on the defensive by accusing them of the very things the left themselves are engaging in. Or redefining terms – again, in keeping with Obamaspeak described in earlier posts, or “New Speak” (in Orwell’s “1984”). Or pre-empting use of the term so that we can’t use it against them. Well, I’m not intimidated or deterred. Just more incredibly blatant disinformation and lies, unfortunately swallowed whole by the gullible, uninformed, and intellectually lazy who resort more often to emotional name-calling than any basis in history, facts and reason.
