A CNN panel said Michael Cohen made a false claim Wednesday when
he said he never wanted a job in the Trump White House during his testimony
before the House Oversight Committee.
This one was new for
me and makes perfect sense -- taking a bullet (lying) for his wife, to whom
he'd naturally be more devoted than to Trump. I already knew that turning on
Trump would improve chances for his own shortened prison time (convictions for
his personal business crimes, not for things involving Trump), would garner a
large new audience (of sharks smelling Trump blood) for his new book, and
garner donations to his GoFundMe legal fund. A true mercenary.His 30-minute opening diatribe was political orchestration
backed by Leftist lawyer Lanny Davis.
And his lead statement about Trump being
a racist was backed only by a statement that only he apparently could have
heard, so is "he said, he said," and Trump denies. But even if true,
is countered by Trump's history of working and dealing with Blacks, including
how he's benefitted them while in office, and his rising approval among Blacks.
And no worse than Lyndon Johnson's private statements.
There were Cohen's
statements about "suspicions" about Russian collusion, but he clearly
had no real evidence. A sad lead to the new House Majority's pursuit of
impeachment, using a convicted liar. Now that their hopes for Russian collusion
are fading, they're pinning their hopes on finding something in Trump's
business dealings -- another fishing expedition. They go from one hope to
another, and one fake news story to the next, all out of animus. They will reap
what they sow.
And as Trump says, hopefully they will run with this
socialism agenda, because it will make it that much easier to defeat them in
2020.

Well, now that we’re told that Trump is Hitler, I suppose we
should expect him to execute McCabe, Rosenstein & Comey, et al, for their
apparent coup attempt just brought to light.
Just as Hitler did with Rommel et al.
But of course that is as plausible as these manufactured racist &
homophobic incidents, etc. (Smollett’s “fake noose,” the Catholic boys at the
national mall, Ferguson, Matthew Shepherd, etc.). Speaking of “manufactured crises.”
The Left seems stuck in the civil rights battles of the
‘50’s and ‘60’s – as evidenced also in Hollywood’s (champion of the Left) movies
like Hidden Figures, Green Book, BlacKKKlansman, etc. They love to re-live and re-fight those glory
day battles, and if they can’t, they apparently make them up, to say bigotry is
still a pervasive problem worth obsessing over – to blame and defame the other
political party, and feel good about themselves.
Larry Elder the other day reminisced about a conversation
with a Black colleague in the ‘80’s, who said he didn’t think Jesse Jackson was
the right candidate because he was still stuck on “we shall overcome,” whereas
they’d already overcome, or were 90% there.
Some 90% of young Blacks say they don’t encounter racism in the course
of their daily lives. And the rates of
interracial marriage, a Black president, and pop culture also belie widespread
racism. And of course there will always
be several percent of idiots you can’t reach – there are that many who believe
the earth is flat, and Elvis is alive.
If they really wanted to fight racism, homophobia, sexism,
bigotry, hate, social injustice, etc., they should do it among countries or
ideologies other than the least guilty in each of those areas. Or pick more significant battles than
microaggressions. Real crises like the
collapse of the Black family & inner city crime & unemployment, the
drug epidemic, the causes of refugee crises, the macroaggressions of Russia,
Iran, Sudan, real genocides, etc. Or the
squalor in the wake of socialism in Venezuela, Cuba, etc.
This Presidents Day, what more appropriate topic than one of
the presidential prerogatives – national emergency declarations? And why was it created by legislation in the
first place? Why, to allow a quicker
response to urgent situations than our notoriously lethargic Congress could
deal with. Such as their inability over
decades to adequately deal with a steady and cumulative crisis on the southern
border.
A crisis that has become more and more urgent by reason of
the inaction, because it becomes more and more intractable – dealing with the
staggering cumulative numbers of illegals, as well as the attendant problems of
crime, drugs, human trafficking, economic & employment impacts, etc. Not to mention political impacts. I'm reminded of the analogy of the frog in a
pot of water slowly heating to boiling -- he's comfortable to slow changes,
until it's too late. The inaction itself invites and encourages more of
the problem – now huge caravans. .
How many expensive military & drug operations abroad
have been undertaken by executive authority only, but we can’t use all the
tools needed to deal with drugs and bad guys coming directly into our
country? And there have been far more
deaths from border problems than from all declared national disasters combined.
After all the executive overreaches of Obama, now Dems are
concerned over executive actions?
Obama’s executive actions to prop up Obamacare dwarfs the costs of the
wall Trump requests
Pelosi et al threaten that future presidents may use this
emergency declaration as a precedent to address their pet issues, like calling
gun violence an emergency. But there the
murder level is much lower, and their proposals for curtailing 2nd
Amendment rights is clearly extra-constitutional.
Will this parade of Leftist parrots crying “manufactured
crisis” (the border) not let up? They’ve
obviously put no thought into it. One
said it’s “not 9/11” – no, only 3,000 were killed then, whereas since 9/11 some
2 ½ times that have been murdered directly by illegals – think of all the angel
moms & spouses. And some 64,000 deaths
per year (at least 2016) by opioids, some 90% of which come illegally through
the southern border. Which is more than
are killed by auto accidents per year, which in turn is more than by guns (most
of which are suicides).
Or some have suggested climate change is more of a
crisis. And the magnitude (e.g., Gore’s
worst case scenarios), urgency (e.g., OCA’s 12 years before doomsday), and
proposed solutions (e.g., Green New Deal) are not manufactured? Or race relations – myths about Ferguson were
not manufactured to fuel the Black Lives Matter hysteria (vs the actual, low
frequency of police shootings of unarmed Blacks)? Or this Black, gay actor in Chicago
(Smollett), who now appears to have hired colleagues to stage his “MAGA”
racist, homophobic attack – that wasn’t manufactured? Or the too short video clip of the Catholic
schoolboys in Washington, D.C. that was used to portray them as racist, but
later in full context shown quite the opposite.
Or the killing of the gay young man in Wyoming (Matthew Shepherd) used
as poster boy for homosexual victimhood, but come to find out the perpetrator
was a gay lover and drugs were involved.
It’s all projection, as usual. They’re pros at manufacturing crises, and so
are quick to think others may think like they do. As Rahm Emanuel said, “never let a crisis go
to waste.” Or create one, apparently, to
capitalize on. The Left’s Alinskyite
tactics are all about manufacturing crises and leveraging guilt and
extortion. Their MO is to attack
personally, and accuse their enemies of the worst motives to demonize and dismiss
them and avoid having rational debate over real and serious issues. They don’t really want to have the serious
discussion about race that they’ve said is needed for many years. They just want to have it as a political
weapon – never really addressing or solving the issue. And they exaggerate the relatively small
racial (& gender) problems in a country with better and more diverse race
relations than any country on earth, and more opportunity – where a Black man
has been president. They thrive on
ignoring overwhelming evidence, and ignorance.
Just like their resurgence in popularity of socialism.
No, their crises are often miniscule and trivial by
comparison with the real issues in the world.
They bite off what they are capable of dealing with – microaggressions
(& “hate speech”), gender identity terms & bathrooms, etc. Forget about the collapse of the Black family
& inner city crime & unemployment, the causes of refugee crises, the
macroaggressions of Russia, Iran, Sudan, real genocides, etc. The squalor in the wake of socialism in
Venezuela, Cuba, etc.
The Leftist media thrives on their own manufactured daily
crises – Trump’s latest tweet that somehow threatens freedom of the press, or
Russia conspiracy theories, or constitutional crises. Theirs is a real crisis factory, or they are
purveyors of crises manufactured by those in the left who “leak” or feed fake
news to them. The first amendment is
much more threatened by their lies. And
their excessive coverage of the few mass shootings or other hate crimes, for
sensationalism, profit & to blow them out of proportion for political
purposes, may in themselves offer glory and incentive to future crazy
perpetrators. A vicious,
self-perpetuating cycle that they help to manufacture.
Trump has more than adequately cited many reasons to call
the border situation a crisis and emergency – at least of the same magnitude as
Obama’s declaration of a flu emergency.
Statistics and human stories of opioid deaths & misery, murders,
rapes, sex & human trafficking, terrorism, gangs, etc., with increasingly
frequent large, multi-thousand caravans.
But they won’t even listen to numbers because they’ve made the gross
generalization that everything he says is a lie. They won’t let his DHS secretary share facts
in a mtg. w. the president, and encourage their base not to even listen to the
State of the Union address. The movie
line “you can’t handle the truth” couldn’t be more applicable. He is prone to exaggeration with his TV &
business self-promotion, but his fibs are nowhere near the category or
consequences of Obama’s whoppers like Obamacare, the Iran deal, his red line in
Syria, etc.
And their fact-checkers need fact-checking – like the dolts with
no grasp of simple math or statistics who recently said that since the prison
population of illegals was less than the citizen population, they commit crime
at a lower rate. Ignoring the simple
fact that citizens are a much higher percentage of the total population, so
that illegals do commit crimes at a significantly higher (several times)
rate. And occasionally the slyer ones
will try to pull a quick one by lumping legal & illegal immigrants together
– where the legal immigrants crime rates are lower than the general population,
so bring down the total immigrant rate.
Using drug forfeiture funds (e.g.,
El Chappo’s) is one perfect pot of money to build the wall – to stop more
drugs. That is one way that Mexico will
pay for the wall, in addition to increased revenues with the re-negotiated
NAFTA trade agreements, etc. No one is
saying the wall is the only component needed, but it is a critical component of
a comprehensive and effective solution.
As attested by real border experts and proven results. Yes, much of the apprehended drugs have been
found at the ports of entry, but we only have sparse glimpses of how much is coming
in elsewhere in uncontrolled areas – clearly enough to cause vast death &
misery across the nation. A single recent drug bust was enough to kill 1 in 6 Americans.
The wall is not merely a petty campaign promise – the
pettiness lies with the Democrats willing to make such a ridiculous stand over
such a trivial amount of money, when they don’t think twice about the 10
Trillion debt Obama ran up. Just to
spite Trump – still sore over Hillary’s loss.
And when they’ve championed and funded the existing border wall in the
past. No, they don’t want to alienate
their Hispanic base, but want to continue to make this a wedge issue. But as stated before, recent polls show
Trump’s approval among Hispanics at about 50% now – the Dem’s tactics are not
working.
In order to justify and generate support for “fundamental
transformation,” Leftist socialism and progressive change, they must first
discredit, slander & malign the current system, focusing solely on its
flaws by their misperceptions
& "social justice" standards. And as a corollary, similarly undermine its
foundation – its founding fathers (e.g., “old, white slave-owners”) &
documents – the constitution. And any
opposition that reveres them. E.g., by
generalizing and calling them racist, xenophobic, homophobic, sexist, bigoted,
“deplorables,” clingers to their guns and religion, greedy, “white privilege,” etc. And their leader – distorting his words to
accuse him of lying, racism, etc.
But just as terrorists, they are much better at (or only capable
of) tearing down and destroying, than building anything worth preserving. Socialists have done this time after time in
country after country. And incredibly,
people are still duped into repeating the insanity – not willing to learn from
history, or even current events, like Venezuela or Greece. But rather just hearken to the alluring
promises of a life of comfort and ease (note the milk & honey enticements
in the cartoon below, and Potemkin village props) – by taking from the rich. Covetousness and greed in itself. And covetousness of power by those who
promise it. Yes, the government will take care of you,
alright -- just not in the way you'd hoped.
Their utopias are inevitably dystopias. What they get is Maoist China,
Stalinist Russia, Castro's Cuba, Chavez/Maduro Venezuela, etc. And it
was in the name of the main value of socialism – equality – that the regimes of
China, Russia, Germany, etc. of the 20th century came to power and
perpetrated the greatest mass murders of any century in history.
This applies as well to the war in heaven that continues
here. Satan would save all – all would
be equal. So he and his minions continue
to attack the good (by perversion, temptation), and the good systems (gospel,
Church, an inspired constitution), and try to institute here on earth what he
was barred from instituting in heaven.
He maligns religion because of the sins of a few, or perverts some
religions into murderous fanatics, but wants us to ignore the much greater
evils done in the name of secularism. The American
system promises equal opportunity, not equal outcome -- it's merit-based, just
as God's promised judgments and rewards -- based on our works.
