Obama's Follies
The High Water Mark
There’s hope for the US & California! Government employee unions may have seen
their high water mark after Governor Walker’s convincing & unprecedented
win in the Wisconsin recall election – one of
the bluest of states. And in blue California , the 2nd
& 3rd largest cities, San Diego & San Jose (hardly a
conservative bastion), similarly reversed course on the unions.
These are bell weathers that seem to precurse another 2010-type nationwide trend, just as Scott
Brown, Gov. Christie, etc. June 14 – Obama’s polls are trending down in every demographic – ethnic, economic, gender, religious, age, etc.
Obama’s Keystone Cops
The Obama administration has had some rough weeks lately, and
is starting to look like the Keystone cops.
More blame for Bush, and instead of hope & change, it’s the same
scare tactics Obama deplored in the last election – now he tries to scare people
about Romney. The trouble is that Romney
has a solid performance record – the opposite of Obama. June 10 – Ann Coulter said that Romney has
the “Midas touch” with everything he’s done as governor, Bain Capital, SLC
Olympics, etc.
“The private sector is doing just fine”
In a June 8 press conference on the economy, Obama said that
if Europe & we apply too much austerity,
it will kill the economy. This goes
counter to empirical evidence cited in my last post that countries in crisis do
better if they cut spending than if they increase taxes. Playing to his government expansion base, he
said that the weaknesses in our economy are in the public, not private, sector
– “the private sector is doing fine.”
Romney seized on that, saying he’s clearly out of touch. We just learned that the average US citizen’s
worth dropped 40% in the last 3 years.
I see an interesting parallel between the European bailouts
(the stronger German/French economies bailing out the failure Greece , Spain ,
etc.), and the U.S.
government bailouts of failed companies.
It seems the more bailouts given, the less incentive those countries, or
companies, have to reform and become viable, and the more they tend to continue,
voting in socialist governments that reject austerity or fiscal responsibility,
and expecting more bailouts – “eat, drink, and be merry.” Bankruptcy provides natural incentives, as
Romney has said. As Ann Romney has said
in interviews, she increasingly hears on the campaign trail how concerned
Americans are about the burdens the national debt will be on their children –
the opposite of most parents’ desire to leave their children a better life.
They certainly can’t tout any success with the economy, and
with the election imminent, they can’t seem to help themselves from leaking
secrets that they think will put Obama in a better light in the national
security arena. But their calculus is no
better than their integrity, because those who care about national security
(even liberals like Feinstein) realize how harmful such leaks are to the
nation’s security, and how blatantly self-serving the leaks are. The only ones who are impressed are those who
never cared about national security or the need for secrecy, oaths of office,
etc. Good luck winning with that
constituency.
Obama said he found offensive the charge his administration
is leaking classified information for political gain, and people need to
understand how seriously he and the people around him take security. Well, because of their nature, it was someone
in his administration, and now we understand, after repeated offenses (Iran cyber
attacks, Yemeni bomber informant, Israeli deal for airbase use in countries
north of Iran, the Pakistani bin Laden informant now in prison for 30 yrs, etc.)
just how seriously they take it – i.e., not at all.
They couldn’t do much more damage to this country
economically, militarily, etc. if they tried, and I’d even question whether a
fair number of them would love to see us weaker so there’d be less to apologize
about, and more love for us. As for me
and I think the majority of Americans, I think we’d rather be respectable and
respected than loved – the “last best hope.”
Executive
Privilege
June 21 -- Reince
Priebus: “Yesterday, the President
claimed executive privilege to hide documents on his administration's botched
"Fast and Furious" operation. Because, for President Obama,
protecting his liberal ally Attorney General Eric Holder is clearly more
important than protecting the interests of the American people.
As a senator, Obama railed against the use of executive privilege, criticizing former presidents for using it. Furthermore, as a candidate, Obama promised to be honest with the American people.
“The hypocrisy is stunning!”

Well, now the House Committee investigating has held Holder in contempt of Congress for stonewalling for a year. Likely a civil suit will follow, with no result until after the election. Exactly what Holder & the administration were no doubt counting on, and why the stonewalling for a year -- for political purposes. They can now claim the Republicans are bringing it up in an election year. No -- it was last year. And whatever year, it certainly warrants an investigation, and a cooperative AG.
Supreme Court & Obamacare
Stay tuned for the imminent (likely this week) Supreme Court decision on Obama’s signature piece of legislation -- Obamacare – likely a major reversal for Obama. What a waste of legislative (& judicial) time and energy that only hurt the economy, at a time when help was most urgently needed.
The Race Card
And the Politico reporter saying Romney is uncomfortable around any groups but white. And of course now, once again, any attack against Holder, another Black man, must be because of his race (as Ms. Pelosi declares – saying the ulterior motive is voter suppression) – as if there couldn’t possibly be any other good reasons to not just let him continue in his merry way. Just because Liberals seem to have a one-track mind doesn't mean the rest of us do. Talk about projection.
I’ve had it
with this race card business – they’ve played it more than one too many
times. See the following piece by a
conservative Black. America , as
anyone knows who’s travelled, is the most racially diverse and tolerant,
unbigoted nation on earth – enough with the guilt trip, already. We paid dearly already in the Civil War,
massive entitlement spending, etc. And
the history of the Republican Party is far more favorable to Blacks than the
Democrats who are Johnny-come-lately political panderers perpetually keeping too many Blacks down on their own plantation.
A Black Man's Point of View
By Lloyd Marcus
As millions of my fellow Americans, I am outraged,
devastated and extremely angry by the democrat's unbelievable arrogance and
disdain for We The People. Despite our screaming "no" from the
rooftops, they forced Obamacare down our throats. Please forgive me for using
the following crude saying, but it is very appropriate to describe what has
happened. "Don't urinate on me and tell me it's raining." Democrats
say their mission is to give all Americans health care. The democrats are lying.
Signing Obamacare into law against our will and the Constitution is tyranny and
step one of their hideous goal of having as many Americans as possible
dependent on government, thus controlling our lives and fulfilling Obama's
promise to fundamentally transform America .
I keep asking myself. How did our government move so far
from the normal procedures of getting things done? Could a white president have
so successfully pulled off shredding the Constitution to further his agenda? I
think not.
Ironically, proving America
is completely the opposite of the evil racist country they relentlessly accuse
her of being, progressives used America 's
goodness, guilt and sense of fair play against her. In their quest to destroy America as we
know it, progressives borrowed a brilliant scheme from Greek mythology. They
offered America
a modern day Trojan Horse, a beautifully crafted golden shiny new black man as
a presidential candidate. Democrat Joe Biden lauded Obama as the first clean
and articulate African American candidate. Democrat Harry Reid said Obama only
uses a black dialect when he wants.
White America relished the opportunity to vote for a black
man naively believing they would never suffer the pain of being called racist
again. Black Americans viewed casting their vote for Obama as the ultimate
Affirmative Action for America 's
sins of the past.
Then there were the entitlement loser voters who said, "I'm
votin' for the black dude who promises to take from those rich SOBs and give to
me."
Just as the deceived Trojans dragged the beautifully crafted
Trojan Horse into Troy
as a symbol of their victory, deceived Americans embraced the progressive's
young, handsome, articulate and so called moderate black presidential candidate
as a symbol of their liberation from accusation of being a racist nation.
Also like the Trojan Horse, Obama was filled with the enemy hiding inside.
Sunday, March 21, 2010, a secret door opened in Obama, the
shiny golden black man. A raging army of democrats charged out. Without mercy,
they began their vicious bloody slaughter of every value, freedom and
institution we Americans hold dear; launching the end of America as we
know it.
Wielding swords of votes reeking with the putrid odor of
back door deals, the democrats landed a severe death blow to America and
individual rights by passing Obamacare.
The mainstream liberal media has been relentlessly badgering
the Tea Party movement with accusations of racism. Because I am a black tea
party patriot, I am bombarded with interviewers asking me the same veiled
question. "Why are you siding with these white racists against America 's first
African American president?" I defend my fellow patriots who are white
stating, These patriots do not give a hoot about Obama's skin
color. They simply love their country and oppose his radical agenda. Obama's
race is not an issue."
Recently, I have come to believe that perhaps I am wrong
about Obama's race not being an issue. In reality, Obama's presidency has
everything to do with racism, but not from the Tea Party movement. Progressives
and Obama have exploited his race from the rookie senator's virtually
unchallenged presidential campaign to his unprecedented bullying of America into
Obamacare. Obama's race trumped all normal media scrutiny of him as a presidential
candidate and most recently even the Constitution of the United States . Obamacare forces
all Americans to purchase health care which is clearly unconstitutional.
No white president could get away with boldly and arrogantly
thwarting the will of the American people and ignoring laws. President Clinton
tried universal health care. Bush tried social security reform. The American
people said "No" to both presidents' proposals and it was the end of
it. So how can Obama get away with
giving the American people "the finger?" The answer: He
is black.
The mainstream liberal media continues to portray all who
oppose Obama in any way as racist. Despite a list of failed policies,
overreaches into the private sector, violations of the Constitution and planned
destructive legislation too numerous to mention in this article, many Americans
are still fearful of criticizing our first black president. Incredible.
My fellow Americans, you must
not continue to allow yourselves to be "played" and intimidated by
Obama's race or the historical context of his presidency. If we are to
save America
, the greatest nation on the planet, Obama must be defeated.
African Americans for Obama (from a forwarded email)
:
“President
Obama Announces the 2012 Launch of
African Americans for Obama
WHAT WOULD HAPPEN IN THE MEDIA IF
ROMNEY RELEASED A VIDEO ANNOUNCING A WHITE
AMERICANS FOR ROMNEY CAMPAIGN???????
Need we say more!!
This is truly racist. It is racism at its
worst. Can you imagine what the NAACP, CORE, ACORN and hundreds of other black
organizations, as well as the media, would say if a white Republican put up an
ad that said that the white people need to vote for the white candidate?
(and excuse me, but isn't Obummer 1/2 white?)”
From another forwarded email:
“One of the best lines I have
heard lately was from a retired shop foreman at the old Republic Steel Plant in
Cleveland , Ohio when a young black kid was being laid
off.
The black kid said to the shop foreman,
"You're firing me because I'm black!"
The foreman thought a moment and said,
"No, we hired you because you were black. We're
firing you because you are useless."
Sounds like a possible slogan for the 2012 election!
“We Elected You Because You're Black, We're Voting You Out Because You're Useless.”
