6/1/19 More double standard, pot calling the kettle black, a “special exonerator,” and “cultural imperialism.”   Dems, Brennan, Clapper etc. think it an outrage that Trump may legally declassify some of their work related to Spygate, but they’re all for illegally declassifying redacted portions of the Mueller report.   If they want openness, let’s have bipartisan openness. Media commentators etc. are criticizing Trump for supposedly being soft on or championing despots, or siding with them on Biden’s IQ.   As Levin points out, his actions have been much stronger against Cuba, Russia, China, Iran, N. Korea & Venezuela than Obama, who of course got no criticism from them, but only praise.   Obama put a U.S. embassy in Havana & opened trade/travel, whispered to Medvedev “tell Vlad I’ll have more flexibility after the election” & did little or nothing after Russia invaded Ukraine, he did little to nothing about China’s trade thefts & S. China S...

I was a Korean War baby, so the war has technically never ended for my entire life. Not to count the chickens before they've hatched, but this is heady stuff -- at least apparently the closest we've been in 68 years. It reminds me of the reunification of Germany. Of course it took some initiative by the S. Korean leader, and maybe the nuclear threats by the North to wake us all up. But surely the change from decades of pussycat diplomacy to "Fire and fury" by president Tr ump also woke up Kim. That, maybe together with the tightening sanctions, increasing defections, and Trump's saying that Kim was on a suicide mission -- I think he realized that the path he was on was just that. And the Korean Olympics was also timely. But with all their subterfuges and broken promises of the past, the standard for verification of denuclearization and peaceful intent needs to be much higher before any relaxation of sanctions, signing peace accords, demobilization,...

After 70 years, it is finally time to state the obvious. The nay-sayers can show no improvement in the peace process with the former policies that only bowed to fear of threats of violence, bolstering that threat mentality. Enemies of Israel of course see it as another indication of the permanence and recognition of Israel, which they vehemently and violently oppose. Trump's speech offered an olive branch to a Palestinian state, whose capital he would likewise recognize. B ut they've been offered a two-state solution a number of times, and would rather continue to wage hate and war for a single-state solution (Palestinian only -- no Israel). And the rest of the world is apparently cowed or propagandized into going along with them -- e.g., the BDS movement. The most democratic, tolerant, multi-cultural, multi-faith, fair, & open society in the region is stigmatized for defending itself against enemies all around who vow it's utter destruction, and have attempted it...

Among other monikers for Kim Jong Un such as “Rocket Man,” ironically, I think that the combination of the names of the  first  2  nuclear weapons we used – “Little Boy” and “Fat Man” – is most appropriate.   The latter name should require no explanation – he’s clearly the best-fed person in North Korea, unlike the many thousands or millions of his people he has starving or starved.   The former name, “Little Boy,” because he and his generals act just like giddy little boys playing with fire, when we see pictures of them at missile or nuclear tests (examples below).   And playing with fire, they are.   And as they say, he who plays with fire gets burned.  Kim & his regime also remind me of The Mouse that Roared.  A real Napoleon complex.    But after all his egregious human rights violations (kidnapping young Japanese girls, torturing and starving many thousands or millions of his own peopl...
